How to get to Koblenz

Planning a trip to picturesque Koblenz takes you to the very heart of Germany, to the famous "German Corner" where the waters of the Rhine and Moselle merge. You can get here by any convenient means: the region boasts a developed network of highways and excellent railway connections with the country's largest metropolises.

Since there is no civil airport within the city itself, the region's air gateways are located in neighbouring major centres. It is most convenient to fly into the international airport serving Cologne, which receives flights from many European countries and is located just 78 km from your destination. Travellers also often choose to fly to Frankfurt am Main, from where it is easy to reach the final point of the route thanks to excellent transport connectivity.

Travelling by rail is one of the most scenic ways to get to the city, especially if your path lies along the Rhine Valley. The main station, Koblenz Hauptbahnhof, is an important transport hub where trains regularly arrive from different corners of the country. A trip from cities such as Wiesbaden or Cologne will take very little time and pass with maximum comfort.

The route from the city of Cologne, about 89 km long, usually takes around 1.9 hours, allowing you to quickly reach your destination.
