Constitution Square (Plaza de la Constitución), also known as Central Park, is the beating heart of Guatemala City and the cultural epicenter of all of Guatemala. Located in the capital's historic center, this vast square is the main venue for national holidays, cultural festivals, and significant public events, attracting both locals and tourists.

The square is framed by the country's most iconic buildings, giving it a particular majesty. On one side rises the monumental Metropolitan Cathedral, and on the other, the National Palace of Culture, the former seat of government. Nearby are also the National Library and the historic Portal del Comercio, completing the architectural ensemble. This concentration of important sites makes the square a starting point for most city tours.
In the very center of the square, a giant flag of Guatemala waves proudly, and nearby is a special marker—"Kilometer Zero," from which all road distances in the country are measured. This is not just an administrative center, but a place where you can feel the true spirit of Guatemala, watch city life unfold, and immerse yourself in its rich culture and traditions.
