La Aurora Zoo (Parque Zoológico La Aurora) is one of the main attractions of Guatemala City and a true green oasis in the heart of Guatemala's capital. Founded in 1924, it covers about 15 hectares and is considered one of the largest urban parks and best zoos in Central America. It is a wonderful place to relax and learn about the incredible world of wildlife without leaving the city.

The zoo's collection is impressive in its diversity, home to more than 2,100 animals representing about 287 species from all corners of the planet. The entire territory is divided into three main themed zones—Africa, Asia, and America—allowing visitors to embark on an exciting "journey around the world." You can observe the lives of elephants and giraffes, admire the grace of Asian predators, and discover the unique fauna of the American continent.
In addition to traditional enclosures, La Aurora Zoo actively implements modern approaches to animal management, creating conditions that are as close as possible to their natural habitats. The exhibits dedicated to reptiles and amphibians are particularly interesting. Thanks to its high level of care and constant development, the zoo received a prestigious award in 2017. It is a place that provides vivid impressions for both adults and children, combining entertainment with an educational mission.
