Cheonjiyeon Waterfall (also known as Chonjeyeon or Cheonjiyeon) is a delightful natural wonder located on the southern coast of Jeju Island, in the city of Seogwipo, South Korea. The name of this picturesque spot is very poetic and translates as 'sky connected with earth' or 'Pond of the Heavenly Emperor.' This name perfectly reflects the impression of the water cascading as if straight from the heavens, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

The waterfall is an impressive cascading system consisting of three levels. The outer cascades are the most grand: their height reaches 22 and 30 meters respectively, and the width of the rushing water streams is about 12 meters. The sound of falling water and the cool mist create a sense of freshness and tranquility, making this an ideal place for contemplation and rest from the city bustle.
An elegant, ornate red-and-white arched bridge, Seonimgyo, spans the waterfall at a height of about 80 meters. The bridge is decorated with sculptures of nymphs, adding a fairytale touch. Seonimgyo Bridge offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire valley and the cascades of Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the beauty of this unique natural site.
