Casablanca, located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, boasts a pleasant temperate climate year-round. Thanks to the ocean's influence, there is no exhausting heat or severe cold here, making the city comfortable to visit at any time. Temperature fluctuations throughout the year are smoothed out, ensuring mild weather conditions.

In Casablanca, two main seasons are clearly defined. Summer, lasting roughly from June to September, is characterised by warm and very sunny weather with average temperatures around 21-24°C. This period is also distinguished by extreme dryness – rainfall is practically absent. Winters, from December to March, are mild here, with average temperatures around 14-16°C. During the winter months, the main, albeit very small, part of the annual precipitation falls, but the number of rainy days remains low. Spring and autumn are pleasant transitional seasons with comfortable temperatures and a small amount of rainfall.

The climate of Casablanca is characterised by moderate temperatures throughout the year, without sharp spikes, making it attractive to visit in any season. The hottest month is usually August, when the average air temperature reaches a comfortable 24.2°C. Daytime highs in August can rise on average to 28.1°C, whilst nights remain warm with a minimum temperature around 20.3°C. On the other hand, the coolest month is considered to be January, with an average temperature of 14.0°C. Even in January, the daytime temperature holds at a level of about 17.6°C, and at night it drops on average to 10.4°C, indicating the absence of frost.

The summer months in Casablanca, covering the period from June to September, offer pleasant warmth without exhausting heat. Daytime temperatures at this time fluctuate in the range of 25°C to 28°C, which, combined with minimal rainfall, creates wonderful conditions for walking and relaxation. Winter, lasting from December to March, is very mild here. Average daytime temperatures are usually 17-19°C, and nighttime temperatures rarely drop below 10-12°C. This makes winter in Casablanca comfortable and not at all harsh. Throughout the year, moderate daily temperature fluctuations are observed, averaging 7-8°C between daytime highs and nighttime lows. This means that even on the warmest summer days, evenings bring refreshing coolness.

In Casablanca, a clearly defined seasonality of precipitation is observed, although the total amount throughout the year is small. The city is characterised by a long dry summer period and a wetter, but still moderate, winter. Snow is an extremely rare, almost exceptional phenomenon for Casablanca, so precipitation here implies rain.

The driest period in Casablanca falls during the summer months. From May to September, precipitation is practically absent. July and August stand out as absolutely dry months, when on average not a single millimetre of precipitation falls and not a single rainy day is registered. In June and September, it is also very dry, with zero rainfall, but one rainy day may occur. May marks the beginning of the dry season with just 3 rainy days and an absence of measurable precipitation.

The wetter season lasts approximately from October to April. However, even during these months, the amount of precipitation remains quite modest. The highest amount of rainfall, although only 2 mm, falls in February and March. At the same time, March is also the month with the highest number of rainy days – on average 8 days. In the remaining months of this period (January, April, October, November, December), about 1 mm of precipitation falls, and the number of rainy days ranges from 5 to 6. This means that even in the "rainy" season, rains occur infrequently and, as a rule, are not intense; most likely, these are light or moderate showers.

When packing your suitcase for a trip to Casablanca, it is worth considering its mild coastal climate. The basis of your wardrobe should be comfortable shoes for walking around the city. Regardless of the season, bring a light jacket or sweater, as evenings can be cool, especially due to the proximity of the ocean. Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses will be relevant almost all year round, as there are many sunny days here. For the winter months (December-March), when the average temperature holds around 14-16°C and rare precipitation is possible (on average 6-8 rainy days with a small amount of rainfall of 1-2 mm), a light waterproof jacket or a compact umbrella will come in handy, as well as clothing that can be worn in layers – for example, T-shirts, long-sleeved tops, and a jumper.

The summer months (June-September) in Casablanca are warm and very dry, with an average temperature of 21-24°C and a maximum of up to 28°C. At this time, you will need light, breathable clothing made from natural fabrics – cotton, linen. Shorts, T-shirts, sundresses, and open shoes will be most appropriate. Precipitation during this period is practically absent, so you are unlikely to need an umbrella. In spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November), the weather is very comfortable, with moderate temperatures and minimal rainfall. In these transitional seasons, the principle of layering will be ideal: a T-shirt, a light sweater or cardigan, and a windbreaker will allow you to feel comfortable throughout the day, adjusting to small changes in temperature.
