During this time, it is hot and humid, which is typical for the tropical summer of the Southern Hemisphere.

The dry season, falling between May and October, is considered the most favourable time for a classic beach holiday. During these months, especially from June to September, there is practically no rain, the skies remain clear, and the heat subsides to a pleasant +24...+25°C. This is the ideal period for those who wish to enjoy nature and the sea without exhausting heat or heavy showers.

The climate in this region can be confidently called tropical and favourable for warmth lovers, as there is no real cold here. Pemba greets travellers with high temperatures all year round, though seasonality is still observable. The hottest period falls at the end of the year: in November and December, average figures reach +28°C, and daytime highs often exceed +32°C. Combined with the rainy season, active from January to April, the weather at this time feels hot and humid.

The nominal "winter," lasting from June to August, brings long-awaited freshness and is considered the most comfortable time to visit. During these months, the sweltering heat recedes, and dry, pleasant weather sets in. The average air temperature in July, the coolest month of the year, is around +24°C. This is an ideal period for those who do not tolerate intense heat well, as the sky remains clear and rains cease almost completely.

Daily temperature fluctuations here are quite mild but noticeable, allowing for a respite from the midday sun. The difference between the daytime maximum and night-time minimum is usually about 8–9 degrees. Even on the coolest nights of the winter season, the thermometer rarely drops below +20°C, so warm clothes might be needed only for long walks by the ocean in the wind. The climate of Pemba is characterized by a distinct alternation of wet and dry seasons. When preparing for a trip to Pemba, you should orient yourself towards a hot tropical climate, so the basis of your wardrobe should be light clothing made from natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton and linen. In the period from December to April, when high humidity and the maximum number of rainy days (up to 27 days a month) are observed, be sure to take a light raincoat or a compact umbrella. Footwear in this season should be comfortable, non-slip, and quick-drying, so that frequent precipitation does not cause discomfort.

In the dry season, which lasts from May to November, rains practically stop, but the sun remains very active. At this time of year, sunscreen with a high protection factor, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat will become indispensable. Although during the day the temperature holds at a comfortable level of around +24°C...+25°C, evenings in June and July can be slightly fresh (temperature drops to +20°C).
