How to get to Brașov

The most convenient way to reach the region is by taking a flight to the new Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport, located just a few kilometers from the center. The airport accepts flights from various European cities, ensuring a quick and comfortable connection to the world.

Travelers also often choose to fly into major neighboring hubs, such as Bucharest, which is the country's main air gateway. Alternative options include the airports of Sibiu and Târgu Mureș, from where it is easy to continue the journey by ground transport.

Rail travel is one of the most popular ways to reach the city, as the local station is a key transport hub in Romania. Direct trains regularly arrive here from the capital, Bucharest; the trip usually takes about 2.5–3 hours and passes through picturesque mountain areas.

Convenient rail connections are also established with other regions, including routes from Sibiu and Târgu Mureș. Traveling by train allows you to enjoy views of the Carpathians and comfortably arrive practically in the city center without the need for transfers.

Bus services connect the resort with many corners of the country. For example, the journey from Târgu Mureș will take approximately 4.1 hours, covering a distance of about 183 km. Travelers departing from Sibiu should expect a route of 154 km, which the bus covers in about 4.7 hours.

The route from the capital, Bucharest, is one of the most in-demand, although it takes about 5.6 hours (210 km) due to the nature of the mountainous terrain. Modern buses ensure a comfortable trip, allowing you to admire the Transylvanian landscapes from the window.

Traveling by car offers freedom of movement and significantly saves time. The fastest route runs from Sibiu: a distance of 149 km can be covered in just 2.2 hours. The road from Târgu Mureș (171 km) will take drivers about 2.7 hours.

Many tourists rent a car or book a transfer from Bucharest. The 185 km journey usually takes 2.8 hours, passing along picturesque highways. Taxis or private transfers are also available, though the cost of the trip will depend on the vehicle class and time of day.
