Strolling through the ancient cobbled streets that Vyborg is famous for, it's impossible to pass by this charming landmark. The Tram Monument is not just a static sculpture, but a masterfully recreated life-size streetcar from the early 20th century, which has become one of the city's most recognizable symbols in the modern history of Russia.

This bright yellow car with red outlines is an exact replica of the first motor tram from the Swedish-German company ASEA/AEG, which first hit the city's rails in 1912. Interestingly, the monument is made of durable ship steel and is set on authentic historical rails found during the reconstruction of the old depot.
The site embodies an entire era of urban transport that existed here for 45 years. Installed in 2018 in a cozy square, it instantly turned into a favorite photo zone and meeting place, serving as a reminder of the times when the ring of a tram bell was a common sound at Vyborg intersections.
