The Costa Martiánez complex, also known as Lago Martiánez, is one of the main gems of Puerto de la Cruz in northern Tenerife. Located on the Atlantic coast in Spain, this unique water entertainment complex is more than just a collection of pools; it is a true open-air work of art. It consists of seven artificial lagoons filled with filtered ocean water, allowing visitors to enjoy swimming in calm waters while watching the powerful waves of the Atlantic.

The author of this impressive project was the famous Canarian architect and artist César Manrique. His main vision was to create harmony between architecture and nature. To achieve this, he used local volcanic rocks, exotic plants, and original sculptures that turned the complex into something akin to an art gallery. The central element is a massive artificial lake covering about 33,000 m², featuring islands, bars, restaurants, and even a casino located on one of them.
Costa Martiánez is an ideal destination for the whole family. It features both deep pools for adults and shallow "paddling pools" for the youngest visitors. In addition to swimming and sunbathing on the numerous terraces, guests can stroll through the picturesque gardens and admire the fountains and cascades, which are illuminated in the evening. This is not just an attraction, but a symbol of a creative approach to urban space and one of Tenerife's iconic landmarks.
