Gedaref, located in eastern Sudan at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level, features a distinct tropical climate. The city's rhythm is defined by two contrasting periods: a long dry season and a short but intense rainy season. The temperature regime in Gedaref is characterized by constant warmth, which turns into extreme heat in the spring.
