In the heart of the historic quarter that graces Phuket lies one of the island's most significant cultural institutions—Museum Phuket (also known as the Thai Hua Museum). This place is not just a collection of artifacts, but a living testament to the rich history of migration and the industrial boom of the region located in Thailand.

The museum building itself is an exhibit: it was built in the Sino-Portuguese style in 1911 and once served as the island's first Chinese school. Today, behind its elegant facade are halls dedicated to the era of tin mining, which turned Phuket into a prosperous trading port and shaped a unique blended culture.
Visitors can explore more than ten exhibition halls where the contribution of Chinese diasporas to the development of local business, architecture, and traditions is revealed through old photographs, miners' tools, and everyday objects. A charming courtyard, open to the sky, provides natural ventilation and creates a special atmosphere of the old island, inviting quiet contemplation of the past.
