The history of the Angel of the Winds Arena began in the spring of 2002. To make room for this massive project, two old city blocks in the city center were cleared. Over the years, the facility has seen several name changes reflecting its sponsorship history: from the original Everett Events Center to Comcast Arena and Xfinity Arena. Since 2017, the venue has carried its current name in honor of the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians' casino. In 2023, the complex celebrated its 20th anniversary in style, solidifying its status as the premier entertainment hub in the Pacific Northwest.

The amount of time you spend here depends entirely on the purpose of your visit. If you plan to attend a hockey match or a major music concert, set aside at least 3–4 hours in your schedule. This includes time for security checks, buying merchandise or snacks, and the event itself.

The Angel of the Winds Arena administrative office operates on a standard schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday until 4:00 PM. The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, though this does not apply to event dates.
