The park space is filled with cascading fountains whose sound softly masks the city noise. Walking along wide stone paths, visitors can admire the elegant honey locust trees and vibrant floral arrangements in ceramic planters. For a comfortable stay, the park features convenient garden furniture set on spacious green lawns.

The project was designed by the famous landscape architect Robert L. Zion, known for his work in New York. Triangle Park is considered a textbook example of the “vest-pocket park” concept—a small, private, yet open-to-all refuge in the middle of dense urban development.

History & Facts

The story of this urban space began in 1980 when a group of community leaders founded the Triangle Foundation. Their goal was to initiate private projects for the public good. Triangle Park officially opened its doors to the public on July 2, 1982.

Before becoming a park, this area was part of the unique Blue Grass region landscape. Over the years, numerous retail outlets were located here, including a pharmacy, a candy shop, and furniture stores. The transformation of commercial buildings into a green oasis was a significant contribution to the development of the urban environment.

The park's design, developed by Robert L. Zion, highlights its status as a "pocket park," where every meter of space is used to create an atmosphere of privacy. In 2010, a major restoration was carried out, during which electrical systems were updated, concrete structures were cleaned, and new trees were planted to preserve the park for future generations.

Time Needed

To leisurely walk through the entire area, admire the fountains, and take a few memorable photos, 30–60 minutes is usually enough. This time is quite sufficient to feel the atmosphere of the place and take a break from the city rhythm.

If you plan to visit the park during a festival, go ice skating in winter, or simply want to sit longer with a book in the shade of the locust trees, you should allow 1–2 hours for your visit.

Working Hours

Triangle Park is hospitably open to visitors daily. The standard operating schedule is from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy its beauty both in bright daylight and under the evening illumination.

Since operating hours may change on holidays or during special events, it is recommended to check the current information on the park's official website before your visit.
