History and Mission
HiSky entered the market in 2020, during a challenging period for global aviation, which only highlights the resilience and seriousness of its management's intentions. Founded by a team of professionals with years of experience, the company set a goal to bring Western service standards to the region. A unique feature of HiSky is holding Air Operator Certificates not only in Moldova but also in Romania, allowing it to operate freely within the European Union airspace and maintain the highest quality standards.

Fleet and Safety
The HiSky aircraft fleet is the company's pride. The fleet consists exclusively of modern liners manufactured by Airbus, including the A320 family models (A319, A320) and the newest A321neo, which feature enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels. The average age of the aircraft is kept low, ensuring flight reliability. Passenger safety is an unconditional priority: the airline strictly follows EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) regulations.

Route Network and Destinations
From its base airport, the company offers a wide selection of flights covering both business and tourist routes. For beach holiday lovers, regular flights are operated to sunny Sharm El Sheikh and vibrant Tel Aviv. Travelers heading to Europe can take advantage of convenient flights to London (Stansted Airport), cosmopolitan Istanbul, or the German business hub — Frankfurt. The route to the fashion capital — Italian Milan (Bergamo) — is also popular. Thanks to a convenient schedule and well-thought-out connections, HiSky becomes an excellent choice for planning complex itineraries.

Onboard Service
At the core of HiSky's philosophy lies respect for the passenger. The company offers various fare plans, from the basic "Basic" for those traveling light, to "Premium," which includes extra baggage and seat selection. A friendly atmosphere reigns on board, and the crew is always ready to help make the flight as comfortable as possible. The airline continues to actively develop, expanding its flight geography and introducing new services so that every journey leaves only warm memories.

Baggage Allowance

Proper baggage preparation is the key to a stress-free start to your journey. HiSky adheres to modern European standards for luggage transport, offering flexible conditions depending on the chosen fare. To avoid unnecessary expenses at the airport, we recommend carefully reviewing the rules before departure, whether it's a short business trip to London or a long vacation.

Hand Luggage: What You Can Take into the Cabin
HiSky's hand luggage policy is designed to ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers on board. The quantity and dimensions of allowed items depend on your ticket:

  • Small Hand Luggage (Free for all): Every passenger is entitled to bring one small bag on board (e.g., a handbag, briefcase, or laptop backpack). Its dimensions are usually limited to 40x30x20 cm, and the weight up to 8 kg. This bag must fit easily under the seat in front of you.
  • Large Hand Luggage (Additional): For those who have chosen higher-level fares (e.g., Premium or Premium Plus) or purchased the service separately, carrying a wheeled suitcase (trolley) is available. Standard dimensions are up to 50x40x25 cm, maximum weight is 10 kg. Such a bag is placed in the overhead bin above the seat.

Important: If your hand luggage exceeds the established weight or dimension limits, airport staff may ask to check it into the cargo hold for an additional fee. This often happens on full flights, for example, to popular Tel Aviv or Istanbul.

Checked Baggage
For transporting larger items, HiSky offers several checked baggage options. Limits depend on the class of service:

  • Weight Categories: Options for suitcases weighing up to 10 kg (excellent for short trips) and up to 23 kg (standard baggage) are usually available.
  • Dimensions: The sum of the three dimensions (length + width + height) of the baggage must not exceed 158 cm.
  • Pooling Baggage: If you are traveling as a family, check the possibility of pooling weight at the check-in counter, however, the weight of a single piece of baggage must never exceed 32 kg (due to handler safety regulations).

When planning shopping in fashionable boutiques while flying to Milan, ensure you purchase a fare with included 23 kg baggage in advance — this will be significantly more economical than paying for excess weight at the airport.

Excess Baggage and Fees
If your suitcase turns out to be heavier than the allowance, the airline charges a fee for every extra kilogram or for an additional piece of baggage.
Expert Tip: Pay for extra baggage online on the airline's website no later than 3-4 hours before departure. Fees at the airport ("at the gate" or at the check-in counter) are always significantly higher than when booking in advance.

Sports Equipment and Musical Instruments
HiSky understands its passengers' passion for active leisure and art.

  • Sports: Skis, snowboards, bicycles, and golf equipment can be transported for a fixed fee. Prior approval from the airline is required, as space in the cargo hold is limited.
  • Musical Instruments: Small instruments (violin, flute) can be taken into the cabin instead of hand luggage if they fit within the dimensions. For transporting a cello or guitar in the cabin, purchasing a separate seat (CBBG) may be required. Large instruments are checked into luggage in hard cases.

Prohibited and Restricted Items
Strict restrictions apply for safety purposes.

  • Prohibited in Hand Luggage: Sharp objects (scissors, corkscrews), liquids in containers larger than 100 ml, weapons and replicas.
  • Prohibited in Checked Baggage: Lithium batteries and power banks (these can only be carried in hand luggage!), electronic cigarettes, explosives, and flammable substances.

Tips for Efficient Packing
To ensure your flight from the hub in Chisinau to Frankfurt or the resorts of Egypt goes smoothly:

  1. Weigh at Home: Use handheld scales to ensure the suitcase does not exceed the 23 kg limit.
  2. Labeling: Be sure to attach a tag with your name, phone number, and email. If baggage is lost, this will speed up its return.
  3. Valuables with You: Documents, money, jewelry, laptops, and essential medicines should always be carried only in hand luggage.
  4. Suitcase Protection: Use protective covers or wrapping to protect luggage from scratches and dirt, especially if flying with connections.

Pet Travel Rules

Rules for transporting animals:

Traveling with a pet is an important moment for many passengers, and HiSky treats this wish with understanding. The carrier allows cats and dogs to be taken both in the aircraft cabin and in the cargo hold, provided all necessary safety and hygiene conditions are met. Whether you are planning a flight to your native Chisinau or heading on vacation, it is important to prepare for the flight with your four-legged friend in advance.

In the Cabin (Hand Luggage / PETC)
For those who do not want to be separated from their pet for a minute, the option of transport in the cabin is available. This applies only to small animals that can comfortably fit in a carrier.

  • Carrier Dimensions: The maximum dimensions of the container or soft bag must not exceed 40x30x20 cm.
  • Weight: The maximum allowable weight of the animal together with the carrier is 8 kg.
  • Allowed Animals: Only cats and dogs are permitted for transport in the cabin. The animal must be at least 3 months old (for some destinations — 4-7 months).
  • Placement Requirements: The container must be placed under the seat in front. It is forbidden to open the carrier or take the animal out during the flight.
  • Limit: The number of animals on board is limited, so the service must be booked in advance.

In the Cargo Hold (AVIH)
If your pet weighs more than 8 kg or the carrier exceeds hand luggage standards, it must travel in a specially equipped cargo hold. The necessary temperature and pressure are maintained there.

  • Cage Requirements: The container must be rigid, IATA certified, with good ventilation and a secure lock. Dimensions must allow the animal to stand up fully, turn around, and lie down naturally.
  • Weight and Dimensions: The maximum weight of the animal together with the cage for this type of transport is usually limited (often up to 32 kg or 45 kg depending on the aircraft type, check when booking).
  • Comfort: The bottom of the container must be covered with absorbent material. Wheels must be removed from the cage.
  • Documents: The cage must have a sticker with the owner's details and the animal's name, as well as a "Live Animals" label.

As Cargo
For transporting very large dogs, other types of animals, or unaccompanied pets, cargo service is used.

  • When Required: If the weight of the animal with the cage exceeds the allowable limits for the cargo hold or the destination country (e.g., London/UK) has strict rules allowing entry only via Cargo.
  • Special Requirements: Processing takes place through the cargo terminal, and additional customs declarations are required.
  • Procedure: Booking is done through the HiSky cargo department or specialized agents.

Necessary Documents
Without the correct package of documents, boarding will be denied. Requirements may vary depending on the country of departure and arrival (especially strict for Tel Aviv and EU countries).

  • Veterinary Passport: International standard.
  • Microchip: Mandatory for animal identification (must be implanted before the rabies vaccination).
  • Vaccinations: Valid rabies vaccination (administered at least 21 days before departure and not more than a year ago).
  • Health Certificate: Clinical examination by a veterinarian (usually 24-48 hours before departure).
  • Antibody Titers: For flights from certain countries (e.g., non-EU), a rabies antibody titer test certificate may be required.

Cost of Services
Animal transport is not included in the free baggage allowance and is paid separately for each flight segment.

  • In the Aircraft Cabin: The cost is fixed, averaging from 40 to 50 Euros per flight (one way).
  • In the Cargo Hold: The price depends on the weight and size of the cage, usually starting from 50 Euros and up.
  • Payment: It is recommended to pay for the service in advance online or via the call center, as rates may be higher at the airport.

Preparation Tips
To ensure the flight goes calmly for you and your pet:

  • Acclimatization to the Cage: Let the animal get used to the carrier a few weeks before departure.
  • Feeding: Do not feed the animal heavily less than 4 hours before departure to avoid motion sickness. Water should be available.
  • Reducing Stress: Put a favorite toy or an item with the owner's scent in the cage. It is not recommended to use strong sedatives without a doctor's prescription, as they can affect blood pressure at altitude.

Restrictions
The airline reserves the right to refuse transport in certain cases.

  • Prohibited Breeds: Brachycephalic dog breeds (pugs, bulldogs, Pekingese) are often not allowed for transport in the cargo hold due to the risk of breathing problems.
  • Aggressive Animals: Fighting dog breeds may require special reinforced cages or be prohibited from transport.
  • Exceptions: Guide dogs accompanying passengers with disabilities are usually transported free of charge in the aircraft cabin (provided they have a muzzle and leash) but require prior approval.

Important: Animal import rules depend on the legislation of the country of arrival. We strongly recommend contacting HiSky support and the consulate of the destination country before purchasing tickets.

Loyalty Program

Loyalty Program and Privileges

Currently, HiSky adheres to the modern concept of "direct benefit," moving away from classic complicated mile accumulation schemes. Instead of a traditional loyalty program, the carrier offers a transparent system of Fare Families and a personal cabinet myHiSky, where frequent flyers departing from the hub in Chisinau receive instant access to privileges depending on the chosen class of service.

Membership Levels (Fare Plans)

Since classic status cards (Silver/Gold) in the usual form are absent, their role is fulfilled by fare packages that determine the level of comfort and set of services for a specific trip:

  • Basic: The entry level for rational tourists. Includes only the flight and small hand luggage, ideal for short visits to Istanbul or neighboring countries.
  • Classic: The "golden mean" with included checked baggage and the option of free airport check-in.
  • Premium: An enhanced level of comfort offering seat selection and an increased baggage allowance for shopping, for example, in Milan.
  • Premium Plus: The elite level of service. Includes priority boarding, seats in the first rows, onboard meals, and maximum flexibility when changing tickets.

How to Accumulate Benefits

Since traditional miles are not accrued, "accumulation" occurs in the form of instant savings and receiving services:

  • Flights: By purchasing a Premium Plus fare ticket for flights to Frankfurt or London, you get a set of services cheaper than buying them individually.
  • Promotions for Subscribers: Account holders are the first to know about sales and special offers.
  • Credit Vouchers (HiSky Credit): In case of refunds or compensations, money is credited to a personal account for future purchases.

How to Spend Privileges

Realization of benefits happens directly during the journey:

  • Free Services: Seat selection and airport check-in are already included in the "higher" fares.
  • Flexibility: The possibility of free date changes on destinations like Tel Aviv for high classes of service.
  • Using Vouchers: Paying for new tickets with funds from the personal cabinet balance.

Alliance Membership

  • Status: HiSky is an independent airline and currently does not belong to global aviation alliances (such as Star Alliance, SkyTeam, or oneworld).
  • Partnership: The company develops interline agreements with other carriers to expand the route network but flies under its own code H7.

How to Join

To become a member of the system and manage your trips with maximum comfort:

  • Visit the airline's official website.
  • Click the "Sign Up" button in the upper right corner.
  • Create a myHiSky account to store flight history and book faster, for example, for a vacation in Sharm El Sheikh.

Services and Travel Classes

HiSky strives to make a flight not just a movement from point A to point B, but a pleasant part of your journey. Operating a modern fleet, the carrier offers a balanced set of services that will satisfy both budget tourists departing from the hub in Chisinau and business travelers who value their time and comfort.

Service Classes and Cabin Configuration
Unlike the traditional division into business and economy class with physical partitions, HiSky uses a flexible system of fare groups on its medium-haul flights (operated on Airbus A320). The aircraft cabin has a 3-3 layout (three seats on the left, three on the right).

  • Economy Class (Basic and Classic): Standard seating in the cabin. Seats are modern, ergonomic, with leather upholstery (Slimline type), ensuring sufficient legroom even with full seating. This is an ideal choice for short flights, for example, to Istanbul.
  • Premium Comfort (Premium and Premium Plus): Although there is no separate business class cabin on narrow-body aircraft, passengers on these fares receive seats in the front part of the aircraft (first rows), where boarding and disembarking are faster. The Premium Plus fare often includes a vacant middle seat (depending on load and configuration), creating a sense of privacy and business-class comfort, especially valuable on longer flights, such as London.

Meals and Beverages
The gastronomic service on board HiSky is built on the "bistro" principle.

  • Onboard Menu: For most fares, meals are not included in the ticket price, but during the flight, flight attendants offer a wide assortment of snacks, sandwiches, sweets, as well as hot and cold beverages from the HiSky Shop menu for an additional fee.
  • Hot Meals: Passengers traveling on the Premium Plus fare can expect meals and beverages included in the price. For others, the option of pre-ordering hot meals (Pre-order meal) is available on the airline's website. This is especially relevant if you are flying to Tel Aviv or Sharm El Sheikh, when the flight lasts several hours.

Entertainment and Connectivity
There are no built-in multimedia screens in the seats on board the A320 family aircraft, which is standard for European medium-haul transport.
Recommendation: Before departure, for example, to Frankfurt, we advise downloading movies, music, or books to your mobile devices in advance. In the seat pocket, you will find the HiSky onboard magazine, featuring interesting travel articles, company news, and the onboard shop menu.

Services for Passengers with Children
HiSky positions itself as a family-friendly airline. Infants (under 2 years old) travel on their parents' laps at a special rate. Discounts are provided for older children. The crew is always ready to assist with seating and warming up baby food. An Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is also available, allowing children to fly safely on their own under staff supervision — from the check-in counter to meeting relatives at the arrival airport, whether it be Milan or any other city in the route network.

Passengers with Reduced Mobility
The airline pays special attention to inclusivity. Passengers with reduced mobility are provided full support at the airport and on board. The service is free but requires a mandatory request at least 48 hours before departure so that staff can prepare all necessary equipment.

Popular Destinations

HiSky's route network is built around the strategically important hub in Chisinau, ensuring convenient connections between East and West. The flight schedule is balanced to offer passengers regular access to both key European business centers and popular coastal holiday destinations.

From To Flights per 3 weeks

Booking Tips

Booking and travel tips:

Traveling with HiSky will be as comfortable and cost-effective as possible if you familiarize yourself with some booking nuances and flight preparation in advance. Regardless of whether you are flying from the hub in Chisinau for a business meeting or heading on a long-awaited vacation, these recommendations will help you save time and money.

Best Time to Buy Tickets
Like most modern carriers, HiSky uses dynamic pricing. The most favorable fares are usually available 2–3 months before the intended departure date. If you are planning a trip during the high season, for example, a summer vacation in Sharm El Sheikh or Christmas holidays in Europe, it is worth booking seats even earlier — 4–5 months in advance. For spontaneous trips, we recommend checking tickets for mid-week flights (Tuesday, Wednesday), when demand and prices are often lower than on weekends.

Hunting for Discounts and Promotions
To not miss special offers, subscribe to the airline's newsletter on the official website. HiSky often holds seasonal ticket sales for popular destinations such as Milan or London. It is also worth following the carrier's official pages on social media, where promo codes and announcements of new route openings at reduced prices are promptly published.

Online Check-in: Save Time and Money
This is one of the most important points. Online check-in (Web Check-in) at HiSky usually opens 24 hours (earlier for some fares) and closes 3 hours before departure.
Important: For most budget fares, airport check-in is a paid service. To avoid unnecessary expenses, be sure to complete the procedure on the website or in the app and save the boarding pass on your mobile device or print it out. If you are flying from major airports, such as Frankfurt or Istanbul, having a ready boarding pass will allow you to skip the queues at check-in counters if you do not have checked baggage.

Seat Selection in the Cabin
The system automatically assigns seats during free check-in. If it is essential for you to sit by the window to admire the views, or if you need extra legroom (seats in emergency exit rows), we recommend purchasing the seat selection service in advance. This will cost less than buying the same service immediately before departure. On long flights, for example to Tel Aviv, comfortable seating plays a big role in the overall impression of the flight.

HiSky Mobile App
For maximum convenience, download the airline's official app. It allows you to:

  • Quickly buy tickets and manage bookings.
  • Complete check-in in a couple of clicks.
  • Access your boarding pass even without internet (after saving).
  • Receive notifications about delays or gate changes.

Travel Insurance
Although HiSky ensures high flight reliability, unforeseen circumstances can happen on any trip. When booking a ticket or separately, we recommend taking out travel insurance covering not only medical expenses but also risks of flight delay or baggage loss. This is a small investment that will ensure your peace of mind.

Connecting Flights
If your itinerary involves a transfer, try to book all flight segments under a single reservation. In this case, the airline is responsible for your delivery to the final destination and baggage transfer. If you are flying on separate tickets, allow at least 3-4 hours for the transfer to have a time buffer for completing all formalities.

Company History

History and development of the airline:

The history of HiSky is an inspiring example of how an ambitious idea can turn into a successful international project even in the most challenging times. Founded in 2020, during a period of global turbulence in the aviation industry, the company not only managed to take to the skies but also set new standards for air travel quality in the region, betting on a modern fleet and strategic planning.

Foundation and Unique Model
The launch of HiSky was a landmark event for Moldovan aviation. The team was led by Iulian Scorpan, a pilot with many years of experience and a seasoned manager, who set the goal of creating a new type of carrier. A key strategic decision that defined the company's rapid growth was obtaining two Air Operator Certificates (AOC): the first in the Republic of Moldova, and the second in Romania. This step allowed HiSky to become a full-fledged European carrier, gaining unlimited access to the EU market and the ability to base aircraft not only in the home hub — the city of Chisinau, but also in major cities of neighboring countries.

Fleet Evolution: Course on Innovation
From the moment of its founding, HiSky management decided to operate exclusively Airbus aircraft, which ensures service unification and a high level of safety.

  • Start of the Journey: The company began flights on time-tested A320 family liners (including the A319 model), which were ideally suited for medium-haul flights across Europe.
  • Modernization: A crucial milestone in the carrier's history was the addition of the newest Airbus A321neo LR (Long Range) aircraft to the fleet. HiSky became one of the first airlines in Eastern Europe to introduce this type of aircraft. These liners are distinguished not only by increased eco-friendliness and reduced noise levels but also by the ability to make non-stop flights over long distances, opening fundamentally new possibilities for the route network.

Route Network Expansion
HiSky's route development happened rapidly, responding to the demands of passengers seeking reliable connections with the world.
Using Chisinau as a main hub, the airline quickly established regular connections with key business and cultural centers. Important flights to the UK were launched, connecting Moldova and London (Stansted Airport), as well as routes to Germany's largest transport hub — Frankfurt. Special attention was paid to popular destinations: flights to Italian Milan opened for lovers of shopping and art, and to cosmopolitan Istanbul for business trips and transit.

Tourism Segment Development
Besides regular European flights, HiSky has established itself as a reliable partner for tourists. The company actively developed charter and seasonal programs. A stable passenger flow was ensured on flights to sunny Tel Aviv, as well as to the main Red Sea resort — Sharm El Sheikh. Thanks to punctuality and a convenient schedule, the carrier quickly won the trust of travelers planning vacations.

Modern Stage
Today, HiSky continues to strengthen its positions, remaining the most dynamically developing airline in the region. Constant renewal of aircraft interiors, introduction of digital services for passengers, and expansion of flight geography confirm the company's status as a modern European brand looking towards the future.
