Starting from April and May, the frequency of precipitation increases noticeably. In the period from May to November, rains become an almost daily phenomenon, with the number of days with precipitation reaching 30–31 per month. The peak of the rainy season usually falls in October, when the greatest volume of falling moisture is recorded (about 25 mm). At this time of year, tourists should definitely carry reliable rain protection.

Despite the high humidity and frequent rainfall in the summer-autumn period, the rains often take the form of warm tropical downpours that refresh the air. Even in the "wettest" months, such as July or September, the nature of Costa Rica reveals itself in all its glory, and the greenery of the jungle becomes particularly vibrant.

When preparing for a journey to Drake Bay, it is worth remembering that a warm tropical climate reigns here with a stable temperature of around 26–28°C all year round. The basis of your wardrobe should consist of light, breathable items made from natural fabrics or modern synthetics that dry quickly. Since humidity is high here, give preference to loose t-shirts, shorts, and light trousers that will protect against the sun and insects during walks through the jungle.

Weather conditions are divided into a dry season (from January to March) and a wet period (from April to December), when precipitation occurs almost daily.
