The Tartu Toy Museum is a wonderful place located in the heart of the Old Town of Tartu, where every adult can return to childhood for a moment. The museum occupies a complex of historic 18th and 19th-century wooden buildings in Estonia, creating a unique fairytale atmosphere from the very first minutes of your visit.

The main exhibition of the museum is impressive in its scale: it houses more than 24,600 toys from all over the world. Among them are rare Estonian folk dolls, exquisite paper models with changeable outfits, enormous dollhouses, and, of course, a nostalgic collection of Soviet toys. This unique cultural space combines not only exhibition halls but also play areas, workshops, and even its own theatre.
The museum complex consists of four key parts: the main building at 8 Lutsu Street, the courtyard house with film puppets, creative workshops, and the Theatre House. Here, the history of play meets modern creativity, making it one of the most visited and beloved attractions in the city for both locals and tourists alike.
