What to Do

A visit here is, above all, a celebration of flavor. You must try the traditional Breton galettes (savory buckwheat pancakes) with a wide variety of fillings. For those with a sweet tooth, the menu offers delicate wheat crêpes that pair perfectly with local honey or artisanal jams.

The serving style deserves special attention: you can enjoy your meal at a table, order "crêpe tapas" served on a slate board for a group, or take a hot crêpe in a convenient cone for a stroll by the sea. If you have dietary restrictions, the chefs are happy to prepare gluten-free options for you.

Complete your gastronomic experience with authentic drinks. The menu features genuine Breton cider and apple juice, which perfectly complement the flavor of the galettes. You can also purchase regional farm products here, ranging from fragrant honey to exquisite jams, to take a piece of French coziness home with you.

Getting There

The establishment is located in the heart of the city at 4 Rue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny. Since this is a busy pedestrian area, a stroll to the creperie will be a pleasant part of your city center exploration, especially considering it is just 150 meters from the main beach.

If you are arriving by public transport, head for the Arcachon central train station, which is a 5–10 minute walk from the restaurant. For those who prefer a taxi, a trip from anywhere in the city center will take only a few minutes.

For travelers arriving by car, the best option is to leave your vehicle in one of the central municipal parking lots, as you won't be able to drive directly to the restaurant's doors on the pedestrian street. A short walk through the picturesque streets will set the right mood before a delicious lunch.

History & Facts

The story of this place began in 2017 as a heartfelt family project. It was founded by Emmanuel, whom locals and regulars affectionately call "Manu le Breton" (Manu the Breton). As a native of Brittany, he brought the culinary secrets and craftsmanship of his ancestors to this sunny southern region.

Upon moving to the city center, Emmanuel decided to create a space where the traditions of northern France would harmoniously blend with the atmosphere of the bay. Together with his colleague Hugo, who also hails from Breton lands, they managed to recreate the authentic spirit of a classic French creperie in the heart of the resort.

Over several years of operation, La Cabane du Breton has transformed from a modest eatery into one of the most popular gastronomic spots in the region. The secret to its success turned out to be simple: loyalty to heirloom recipes and using only ingredients that would be approved by the strictest Breton grandmothers.

Time Needed

For a full dining experience, it is recommended to set aside 1 to 1.5 hours. This is plenty of time to leisurely browse the diverse menu, place your order, and enjoy the chefs' craftsmanship while watching the preparation process.

If you plan to visit during peak hours or on weekends, consider the establishment's popularity and allow a bit more time for a table to become available. Nevertheless, the modern service concept allows for quick orders, even if you decide to take a hot crêpe to go for a walk along the promenade.

Working Hours

When planning your visit, please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. On other days, the establishment operates on a split schedule, taking a break between lunch and dinner.

From Tuesday to Thursday, guests are welcome from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, lunch hours are extended until 2:30 PM, while the evening service remains the same. On Sundays, the creperie is only open for the afternoon shift—from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, providing an excellent opportunity for a Sunday brunch.
