Imagine an exquisite landscaped garden where history intertwines with natural tranquility. Poensgenpark (also known as Cromford Park) is a true cultural gem that graces the city of Ratingen. Spanning 4.5 hectares, this site in Germany is considered one of the finest examples of a late landscape park in the Rhineland.

Established in the early 20th century, the park remained a private estate for a long time until it opened its gates to the public in 1977. Due to its unique architectural and natural value, it has been protected as an architectural monument since 1997. Since 2005, it has been officially included in the famous Road of Garden Art between the Rhine and the Meuse.
The park's main pride is its incredible botanical diversity. It is home to about 120 species of woody plants collected from all over the world. Strolling along its paths, you can see historical chestnut groves as well as exotic specimens harmoniously integrated into the English-style design, complemented by picturesque views of the Anger River.
