Ozeaneum Stralsund is one of the largest and most modern aquariums in Germany, located in the historic port city of Stralsund on the Baltic coast. It is not just an aquarium, but a full-scale research center dedicated to the marine ecosystems of Northern Europe. The main focus of the exhibitions is the underwater world of the Baltic and North Seas, as well as the adjacent parts of the Atlantic.
The Ozeaneum building itself is an attraction—its futuristic architecture, composed of snow-white asymmetrical structures, stands out strikingly against the backdrop of the old port buildings. Inside, visitors can expect a fascinating journey through the underwater world, presented in dozens of aquariums, including the giant 2.6-million-liter "Open Atlantic" tank. Here, you can see sharks, rays, and massive schools of fish.

In addition to the aquariums, the museum offers interactive exhibitions that make the learning process engaging for both children and adults. The "1:1 Giants of the Seas" exhibition is particularly noteworthy, featuring life-size models of whales and other marine mammals. Thanks to its scale, unique content, and educational mission, the Ozeaneum has become one of the most visited attractions in northern Germany, offering a truly unforgettable experience.
