Current Weather

Planning a trip to Bali? In this section, you will find the latest weather information and detailed forecasts to help you perfectly plan your visit to this part of India.

Overview

The climate in Bali, located in the state of Rajasthan, India, is characterized as arid with distinct seasonal changes. Unlike the tropical island of the same name, this town offers travelers hot summers, a short monsoon season, and surprisingly pleasant, mild winters.

For most of the year, dry and sunny weather prevails. From April to June, a period of intense heat occurs, which is then replaced by the monsoons in July and August, bringing the majority of the annual rainfall. However, the most comfortable time to visit is from October to March, when conditions are ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

Temperature

Temperatures in Bali vary significantly throughout the year. The hottest period is traditionally May and June, when average highs reach +38°C, and sometimes even higher. During this time, the heat can be dry and exhausting, so it's best to spend the daytime hours in the shade.

Winter months, especially January and December, bring a mild coolness to the region. Daytime temperatures remain very comfortable (around +24°C), making this the "high season" for tourists. However, it is worth noting the significant temperature difference between day and night: after sunset, the air can cool down to +9°C...+11°C, requiring warm clothing.

Transitional periods, such as March and October, are characterized by moderate warmth with average temperatures around +25°C...+26°C. This time is considered the perfect balance for those who are sensitive to extreme heat but want to enjoy sunny weather without the winter night chill.

Precipitation

Rainfall in Bali is highly seasonal. Most of the annual precipitation falls during the monsoon period, which lasts from July to September. July is the wettest month, with about 221 mm of rain and up to 20 wet days. Downpours during this period can be quite intense, increasing the overall humidity.

For the rest of the year, the town experiences dry weather. From November to March, rain is exceptionally rare: minimal precipitation is recorded (from 2 to 17 mm), ensuring travelers clear skies and no need to carry an umbrella.

Even at the height of the wet season, rains are often short-lived, quickly giving way to bright sunshine. In the mountainous areas near the town, rainfall can be slightly higher, but snow is completely non-existent, and nature transforms during the rainy season, becoming extraordinarily vibrant and green.

Packing Tips

When packing for Bali, focus on the season of your visit. For the hot months (April–June), lightweight clothing made from natural fabrics such as cotton and linen is essential, along with high-quality sunglasses and a hat. Don't forget sunscreen with a high SPF, as the sun in Rajasthan is very strong.

If your trip is planned for the winter (December–January), use the layering principle. Lightweight items will be useful during the day, while a warm sweater or light jacket will be indispensable for cool evenings and early mornings when temperatures can drop to +9°C. For the monsoon season, we recommend bringing a compact raincoat and quick-drying shoes.

General recommendations include comfortable sneakers for walking and lightweight long trousers or scarves for visiting temples and official sites. It's also useful to carry insect repellent and a portable power bank for your gadgets.
