Madina Mosque (Madina Masjid) is a unique architectural landmark that graces Shillong. Located in the picturesque state of Meghalaya, it is the first and only "glass mosque" in the country, making it an exceptional site for a nation like India.

The majestic four-story building, standing 36 meters tall, impresses with its transparency and lightness. The mosque is considered the largest in the country's northeast and can accommodate over 2,000 worshippers at once. The dome and minarets are particularly striking, made entirely of glass, reflecting the sky and the surrounding cityscapes.
Inside the complex are not only prayer halls but also important social facilities: a modern Islamic library, a theological institute, and an orphanage. After dark, when the bright illumination is switched on, the building transforms into a glowing landmark, becoming one of the most captivating spots on the night city map.
