It is home to about 300 species of birds from around the world, including colorful peacocks, graceful pheasants, swift kingfishers, majestic hornbills, hardworking woodpeckers, talkative parrots, keen-eyed eagles, as well as swans, ducks, herons, and pink flamingos. This place is rightfully considered a paradise for nature lovers and ornithologists.
In addition to its rich bird collection, you can find other interesting inhabitants at Penang Bird Park. These include various reptiles, such as green iguanas and turtles, as well as mammals, including the smallest deer in the world – kanchils (mouse-deer).
