Gaviota Azul Beach (Playa Gaviota Azul), whose name translates from Spanish as "Blue Seagull," is a lively public beach located in the tourist zone of Cancun, Mexico, on the picturesque eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. This place is famous for its crystal-clear azure water and incredibly soft white sand. A distinctive feature of the beach is its frequent waves, making it attractive for fans of more active water recreation, unlike the calmer beaches in the northern part of Cancun.

Gaviota Azul Beach enjoys well-deserved popularity among both numerous tourists and locals. A bright and lively atmosphere reigns here, attracting people for relaxation, fun parties, and various entertainment both during the day and after dark. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sun, go for a swim, or simply spend time in good company.
Conveniently located at approximately kilometer 9.5 of Kukulcan Boulevard in the famous Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera), the beach is in close proximity to the well-known Coco Bongo nightclub. Gaviota Azul Beach is also known by several unofficial names, such as Playa Forum, due to its proximity to the Forum By The Sea shopping center, and Playa Mandala, after the popular beach club. It is sometimes called the "breakwater beach" because of the characteristic concrete breakwaters located near the Krystal Hotel, which create an interesting visual effect and contribute to wave formation.
