Parque Alemán (Parque de la Alemán) is one of the most beloved public spaces in the city of Mérida, Mexico. Located in the heart of the Colonia Miguel Alemán neighborhood, right across from the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church, this park—roughly the size of a city block—serves as a true center of attraction for locals and visitors looking for a place to relax and socialize.

Parque Alemán offers various leisure opportunities. There is a roller skating rink for active recreation, a modern playground, a spacious esplanade with a musical fountain that is particularly popular in the evenings, as well as cozy green areas. Additionally, the purpose-built stage regularly hosts various artistic and cultural events, bringing together families, children, teenagers, and adults.
One of the most remarkable and unique features of Parque Alemán is its famous concrete animal sculptures. The figures of elephants, giraffes, bisons, lions, and gorillas, created by the talented artist Alberto Pérez Soria more than half a century ago, have become a true symbol of the park. While in many other places similar installations have disappeared over time, Mérida has lovingly preserved these charming sculptures, making Parque Alemán the only place in Yucatán with such a wonderful and nostalgic collection.
