Imagine a place where the legends of Northern sagas and the harsh reality of the Middle Ages come to life. The Trondenes Historical Center is a unique museum complex in the city of Harstad that takes visitors back two thousand years, revealing the rich history of Norway from the Bronze Age to the present day.

The museum's exhibition, spanning 1,860 m², is impressive in its diversity: here you can see rare artifacts such as a 2,500-year-old bronze necklace and massive Iron Age cauldrons. Special attention is paid to the Viking period and the Middle Ages, when Trondenes was a key center of power in the north of the country.
Next to the modern museum building is the famous Trondenes Church — the northernmost medieval stone church in the world. The picture is completed by a reconstructed medieval farm, where authentic buildings and livestock create an atmosphere of total immersion in the past.
