The climate on Busuanga Island can be described as typically tropical, with high humidity and consistently warm temperatures throughout the year. It never gets cold here: average thermometer readings fluctuate in a comfortable range from +26°C to +29°C, creating ideal conditions for beach holidays and water activities regardless of the month of your visit.

Two seasons are clearly distinguished in the island's weather calendar. The dry period lasts from January to April, when the number of rainy days is minimal and the sun shines almost constantly. This time is considered the peak for tourism. Starting from May, the weather changes: rainfall gradually increases, reaching its peak between June and October. During these months, it rains frequently, refreshing the air and filling the local flora with life.

A distinctive feature of Busuanga's climate is its amazing temperature stability. Even at the height of the rainy season, the air remains very warm, and the sea water is comfortable for swimming. Travelers planning a trip during the "wet" season should be prepared for frequent rainfall; however, it is at this time that the island's nature appears in all its glory, displaying a riot of tropical colours.

The temperature pattern in Busuanga is distinguished by enviable stability, turning the island into a resort of eternal summer. There are practically no sharp seasonal changes here: annual averages fluctuate within a very narrow range. The hottest month is usually May, when the average temperature reaches 28.5°C, and maximum values approach 30°C. During this time, as well as in April, one should expect the most intense heat, ideally suited for beach lovers.

The concept of "winter" for this region of the Philippines is quite relative. Even in the "coolest" months, which are February and January, the average air temperature holds at a comfortable mark of around 26.9–27.0°C. Such weather feels like a mild, pleasant summer, devoid of extreme heat. This makes the winter period, especially February with its minimal rainfall, one of the most comfortable for travel.

An interesting feature of Busuanga's climate is the minimal difference between day and night temperatures. According to statistics, fluctuations between the average minimum and maximum during the day amount to only 1–2 degrees. This means that nights here are just as warm and sultry as the days, so tourists will hardly need warm clothes. In the summer months (June-August), the temperature remains stable around 27.5°C, creating a consistent thermal background despite the increase in rainy days.

Weather conditions on Busuanga Island are dictated by a typical tropical climate with distinct dry and wet seasons. If your goal is cloudless skies and minimum precipitation, it is best to plan your trip for the period from February to April. This is the driest time of the year: rainfall tends towards a minimum (about 1 mm), and rains in March occur on average only 3 days for the entire month.

The situation changes drastically with the arrival of summer. The rainy season usually starts in May and reaches its peak in the middle of the year. The "wettest" month is considered to be July, when statistics record up to 30 rainy days. In the period from June to September, precipitation becomes a regular phenomenon, so an umbrella or raincoat will be mandatory accessories in a tourist's luggage.

Towards the end of the year, the intensity of rains gradually decreases. November and December are a transition period when the number of wet days is reduced to 14–15 per month, foreshadowing the imminent start of the high dry season. Since Busuanga is located in the tropics, the only type of precipitation here is rain, which is often warm and short-lived.

Since Busuanga features a warm tropical climate year-round with an average air temperature of about +27°C...+28°C, the basis of your wardrobe should be light summer clothing. Give preference to items made of natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton and linen, with a loose fit — they will help you tolerate high humidity and heat more comfortably. Be sure to take several sets of swimwear, a wide-brimmed hat or cap, as well as high-quality sunglasses, as the sun here is very active even in cloudy weather.

When packing, it is important to consider the seasonality of rainfall. From January to April, rains are extremely rare, so you can get by with a minimum of things. However, if you plan a trip between June and October, when the number of rainy days reaches a maximum (up to 25–30 days a month), a light rain poncho or waterproof windbreaker must be in your suitcase. An umbrella might be useful in town, but for boat tours and nature trips, a raincoat is much more practical. Despite the rains, the temperature remains high, so you will hardly need warm clothing, perhaps just a light cardigan for protection against air conditioning in transport.

As for footwear, it is worth taking comfortable sandals with secure straps for everyday walks and light trainers if you plan on trekking in the hills. For a beach holiday in the Philippines, we strongly recommend bringing special aqua shoes (coral slippers) to protect your feet from sharp rocks and corals when entering the water. Also, do not forget powerful sunscreen (preferably reef-safe) and a waterproof dry bag, which will keep your valuables and electronics dry during boat trips between islands.
