Liberty Park is one of the main landscaped green zones in Derbent, located in the very heart of the city. It sits adjacent to the main city square—Liberty Square—as well as administrative buildings and historical monuments of ancient Russia. Thanks to its convenient location and developed infrastructure, the park is a popular spot for walks, relaxation, and various city events.

This place is also often called the Park of Military Glory, and for good reason. A memorial dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War is located on its territory. Here, you will also find the touching "Mourning Mother" monument and the Alley of Heroes, which immortalizes the memory of the defenders' deeds.
The park was reconstructed and officially opened after a major renovation on May 8, 2015. Today, it is a modern public space featuring well-kept alleys, a beautiful fountain, and numerous areas for comfortable relaxation. It is a wonderful place to enjoy some peace in the heart of a bustling city.
