The Bridge of Peace is one of the most striking and recognizable modern landmarks in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. This elegant pedestrian bridge made of steel and glass, designed in a high-tech style, was opened in 2010. It arches over the Kura (Mtkvari) River, elegantly connecting the historical quarters of the Old Town with the modern Rike Park. Thanks to its futuristic design, the bridge quickly became one of the city's new symbols.
The project was designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi, while the unique lighting was the work of French designer Philippe Martinaud. The undulating glass canopy not only protects pedestrians from the weather but is also a key element of the structure. The bridge is approximately 156 meters long and is entirely pedestrianized, offering magnificent views of the city. From it, panoramas of the Narikala Fortress, the Presidential Palace, and the colorful streets of old Tbilisi open up.

The Bridge of Peace looks particularly impressive after dark. Tens of thousands of LED bulbs are built into its structure, which begin to flicker in a specific sequence every hour. This is not just beautiful lighting, but a message encrypted in Morse code. The lights transmit the names of chemical elements from the periodic table that are found in the human body. This concept symbolizes the unity of all people and nations, which gave the bridge its name. Today, it is a popular spot for walks, romantic dates, and, of course, photo shoots against the backdrop of the city's night lights.
