Rising atop a hill in Victory Park, the Mother Armenia monument is one of the most recognizable and powerful symbols gracing Yerevan. This majestic 22-meter statue is set on a massive 32-meter pedestal, making the total height of the complex an impressive 54 meters. The monument is visible from almost anywhere in the city, serving as a reminder of the people's resilience and courage.

The sculpture, made of hammered copper, depicts a woman placing a huge sword into its scabbard, with a shield resting at her feet. This image personifies peace achieved through strength and a mother's vigilant care for her homeland. Architecturally, the base of the monument resembles a traditional Armenian basilica, blending harmoniously into the landscape of the ancient country of Armenia.
For travelers, this is not just a historical site, but also an essential observation deck. It offers one of the best views of the capital's pink buildings and the legendary Mount Ararat on the horizon. A museum is hidden inside the pedestal, while the surrounding park serves as a wonderful place for walks in the shade of the trees.
