In the northeast of the Armenian capital lies a picturesque corner of wildlife — Yerevan Zoo. Spanning an impressive territory of about 35 hectares, it is not just a place for walking, but also an important center for the conservation and protection of rare fauna.

Here, in Yerevan, visitors can see more than 700 animals representing over 125 species. Special attention is given to the inhabitants of the Caucasian region, including the rare Armenian mouflon — unique mountain sheep considered ancestors of domestic sheep.
The zoo is harmoniously integrated into the landscape near a medieval canal and the ancient Akhvesaberd fortress. It is a wonderful space for family leisure where nature meets history, and modern enclosures provide a comfortable existence for fauna from different corners of the globe.
