The central place in the composition is occupied by a majestic figure of a soldier with a banner above his head, mounted on a marble pedestal. At the base of the monument, the Eternal Flame burns, which was ceremonially lit on the day of the memorial's opening. This flame serves as an unfading symbol of sorrow for the fallen and gratitude for their self-sacrifice.
The memorial ensemble also includes an expressive concrete stele with a red copper frieze. This frieze captures images of warriors, a steelworker, and a mother with a child, reflecting the unity of the front and the rear, as well as everyone's contribution to the common Victory. The names of Udmurtia natives who were awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union are immortalized on a commemorative plaque. A visit to the Eternal Flame Memorial leaves a deep impression and is an important part of getting to know the history and culture of Izhevsk.
