Shrouded in legends and distinguished by its unusual silhouette, the Söyembikä Tower is the heart of the historical ensemble that Kazan is proud of. This seven-tier watchtower, located within the grounds of the majestic Kremlin, is recognized as one of the main symbols representing Russia on the world's architectural map. It stands about 58 meters high, and its most striking feature is its noticeable tilt, which often leads to it being called a "leaning" tower.

The tower's architectural appearance combines features of Russian craftsmanship and Tatar traditions. Built of red brick, it tapers toward the top, ending in an elegant spire. Tourists are drawn not only by its visual similarity to the Leaning Tower of Pisa but also by its deep historical significance as a symbol of Tatar culture.
The site is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list as part of the Kazan Kremlin. The platform at the foot of the tower offers magnificent panoramic views, making it a must-visit for all guests of the city wishing to touch the centuries-old history of the region.
