What to Do

Get ready for a day full of adrenaline and splashes! Thrill-seekers first head to the extreme slides, such as the legendary 'Kamikaze' or the tangled spiral tunnels. If you prefer a more relaxing vacation, spacious heated pools, wave pools, and relaxing jacuzzis are at your service.

For young explorers, an impressive 'Pirates' zone has been created. Here, children can explore real play ships, fight with water cannons, and search for hidden treasures among the fountains. During the day, animation programs often take place in the park: magicians, actors in fairy-tale character costumes, and fun shows will not let you get bored for a minute.

An interesting feature of the park is its special seasonal events. In the height of summer, they organize night water discos and open-air music festivals. In addition, you can take part in swimming masterclasses. And if you want a change of scenery, the proximity to the coast allows you to quickly reach the beach to enjoy the real sea breeze.

Between swims, be sure to stop by the local cafes to try traditional Swedish snacks or refresh yourself with a portion of ice cream. Don't forget your camera: the bright decorations and cascades of water will make an excellent backdrop for your photos.

Getting There

Getting to the entertainment center is easy: it is located just a 10–15 minute drive north of the center of Visby along Road 140. If you are arriving on the island by plane, a taxi or rental car trip from the airport will take about 15 minutes.

For those who prefer public transport, buses No. 20 and No. 21 run from the bus station. The journey to the Kneippbyn stop will take 20 to 30 minutes. It is recommended to check the current schedule in advance on the website of the local carrier, Gotlandstrafiken.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to reach the site by bicycle or even on foot. A picturesque path along the coast allows you to enjoy sea views, and the walk from the city takes about an hour. Also, during the summer period, some hotels organize special tourist shuttles for their guests.

If you are traveling from Stockholm, your journey will begin with a three-hour ferry crossing to the port, from where you can quickly reach the park by taxi. Renting a car remains the most convenient way to fully explore all corners of Gotland.

History & Facts

The history of this place began in the mid-20th century, when a small recreation park opened on Gotland, inspired by the ideas of the German priest Sebastian Kneipp. He was a famous ideologist of natural healing and advocated for the healing power of water. Initially, the complex was a quiet center with swimming pools and special paths for walking barefoot on water and stones.

In the 1960s and 1970s, the concept began to change: the park started expanding actively, attracting more and more tourists from the mainland. Gradually, the health focus shifted toward active entertainment, and by the 1980s, the facility had transformed into one of the first full-fledged themed water parks in Scandinavia.

Interestingly, when designing new zones, the creators tried to integrate elements of the region's maritime history. This is reflected in the pirate theme and decorations reminiscent of the Hanseatic League era. The modern owners continue to develop the park, introducing eco-friendly technologies such as solar panels, while carefully preserving the atmosphere of family hospitality.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy all the water slides and attractions, a typical visitor should reserve at least 4–6 hours. This is enough time to try the main slides, relax by the pool, and have a snack at a local cafe.

For families with children, we recommend planning a full day trip (from 6 to 8 hours). Little ones will likely want to spend more time in the themed areas and watch the animation shows. If your goal is just a brief introduction and a couple of runs down the tallest slides, you can make it in 2–3 hours.

Working Hours

Please note the operating schedule, as it is seasonal. Currently, the park is open for visits only at the end of the week:

  • Friday — Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00
  • Monday — Thursday: Closed

During the high season (from June to August), opening hours usually expand significantly, sometimes welcoming guests until 20:00. It is recommended to check the current schedule on the official website before your trip.
