Wildnispark Zürich Sihlwald is a unique destination and the first wilderness park in Switzerland, offering visitors a rare opportunity to see a combination of primeval forest, wilderness elements, and natural habitats for diverse fauna. Located west of Lake Zurich, this natural oasis covers an area of about 11 square kilometers and is a wonderful place for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of Zurich and immerse themselves in the wild.

The park consists of two main parts: the Sihlwald Forest and the Langenberg Wildlife Park. Between these two zones lies the small town of Langnau am Albis. The Sihlwald forest stretches along the banks of the Sihl River, with most of it occupying the western bank and rising up the scenic slopes of the Albis hills. This part of the park is a genuine forest massif where nature develops according to its own laws.
The Sihlwald forest primarily consists of beech trees, the age of which is impressive—ranging from 120 to 250 years. A walk along its trails allows you to feel the power and tranquility of an ancient forest. It is not just a park, but a real corner of wilderness where you can observe natural processes occurring in the forest ecosystem and enjoy silence broken only by birdsong and the rustle of leaves.
