This complex is famous for being the only one on the island where all lines are all-dual. This means you can glide over the jungle side-by-side with a friend or partner, sharing the excitement in real time. The park covers 200 acres of scenic volcanic slopes, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands.

One of the main highlights of the attraction is the longest suspension bridge in Hawaii. Spanning approximately 110 meters, it soars 1,600 feet above the ground, offering incredible angles for photography and a slight sense of vertigo from the surrounding beauty.

What to Do

The main reason travelers come here is, of course, the high-speed descents. You can choose the 6-line tour, which is considered the most complete and lasts three and a half hours, or opt for a shorter 4-line version. Either way, the island's longest and fastest ziplines await you, with a total length of up to 2 miles.

In addition to the flights themselves, the program includes an exciting off-road ATV ride through the rainforest and a crossing over a giant suspension bridge above a deep canyon. The group guides not only ensure safety but also fill the trip with humor and interesting facts about the local nature. For those who want to capture the memory of their flight, GoPro rentals and professional photo packages are available.

To ensure your comfort, be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and light athletic clothing. Groups are usually small, up to 10 people, which creates a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Keep in mind the age and weight restrictions: the adventures are open to seekers aged 10 and up, weighing between 27 and 113 kg.

Getting There

The easiest way to get to the base where the adventure begins is by rental car. From the central tourist areas of West Maui, such as Lahaina, the drive takes very little time, and from Kahului Airport (OGG), the journey will take between 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. Parking for visitors is available on-site.

After arriving at 801 Office Rd Suite D, your journey continues on a special off-road ATV or van. This climb up mountain roads to the starting points is an exciting part of the tour in itself, allowing you to see hard-to-reach corners of the tropical forest.

If you don't plan on driving, you can use taxi services or Uber; however, keep in mind that public transport in this part of the island is limited. It is recommended to arrive 30–45 minutes before your scheduled start time for check-in and briefing.

History & Facts

The location of Kapalua Ziplines has deep natural roots. The routes are laid out on the slopes of an ancient volcano in the West Maui Mountains, estimated to be about 1.7 million years old. This allows guests not just to have fun, but to literally fly over a landscape shaped by powerful geological processes of the past.

The Kapalua area has long been developed as an exclusive resort zone, where respect for nature is combined with high-level service. The creation of the zipline park was a logical extension of this concept, allowing tourists to explore inaccessible canyons and forests without disturbing the region's ecosystem.

Interestingly, the entire park infrastructure, including the famous suspension bridge, was designed to make maximum use of the natural terrain. This makes the attraction a harmonious part of the Hawaiian landscape, highlighting the uniqueness of the local flora and the island's volcanic origins.

Time Needed

To fully enjoy the experience, you should plan your visit in advance. If you choose the popular 6-line tour, the adventure itself will last about 3.5 hours. A shorter 4-line option takes approximately 2.5 hours.

However, the total time you should budget for your schedule is between 4 and 5 hours. This includes the ATV transfer to the starting point, the mandatory weigh-in, gearing up, and a detailed safety briefing. This provides plenty of time to enjoy the views and take great photos without rushing.

Working Hours

The park is open on weekdays, offering morning and afternoon sessions. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. The complex is closed to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays.

Since tours run strictly on schedule and group sizes are limited, booking is mandatory. Interestingly, light tropical rain is no obstacle for the flights—the organizers run tours in almost any weather, which adds a special flavor to the adventure.
