In the picturesque El Madania district of the capital of Algeria lies one of the continent's primary treasures — the National Museum of Fine Arts. It is one of the largest art museums in Africa, with a collection spanning an impressive area of about 4,000 square meters. The museum is an elegant space where the history of world art comes to life in the works of great masters.

The museum's exhibition covers the period from the 14th century to the mid-20th century and is housed in 35 spacious galleries. Visitors can trace the development of various European schools of painting, as well as get acquainted with the original art of local authors. It houses not only paintings and engravings but also fine sculptures, antique furniture, ceramics, and rare coin collections.
Of particular value are the masterpieces by such renowned artists as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Eugène Delacroix, and Alfred Sisley. Alongside the works of European Impressionists and Romantics, magnificent canvases by the Algerian master Mohammed Racim are on display, making a stroll through the museum in the city of Algiers a true journey through eras and cultures.
