The American Cultural Center (Centro Cultural América) is an architectural gem in the heart of Salta. This majestic building, built in 1913, is a prime example of eclectic style with a notable influence of French academicism. In 1994, this landmark, of which Argentina is proud, was granted national monument status.

The interior of the center is breathtaking: here you can see Milanese stained glass, exquisite Venetian-style floors, and parquet made of fine Slovenian oak. The building is located on a historic site that once belonged to the Jesuits, and today it is an integral part of the monumental ensemble of 9 de Julio Square.
The modern cultural center offers visitors a rich program—from art exhibitions to musical concerts. A significant plus for tourists is the free admission, allowing everyone to experience the history and culture of the region in an authentic atmosphere of the last century.
