The snow-white Gråsten Palace is not just an architectural monument, but an active summer residence of the Danish Royal Family. Located in the picturesque town of Gråsten, this architectural ensemble embodies the elegance and Nordic hospitality for which Denmark is so famous. The modern look of the building with its characteristic light facades was finalized by the mid-19th century, although the history of this place dates back centuries.

The crown jewel of the complex is the romantic garden, created in the English style. Here, open lawns harmoniously coexist with dense shrubs, vibrant rose gardens, and flower beds, offering peaceful views of the lake and surrounding forests. Since 2020, the Royal Kitchen Garden has also been open to the public, where fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs are grown and supplied directly to the monarch's table.
The Palace Church deserves special attention, preserved since its construction in the 17th century. Inside, you can see a magnificent Baroque altar and a ceiling decorated with exquisite stucco work depicting angels. Although the palace remains a private property of the Crown, in the absence of the monarchs, its grounds become an open and welcoming space for all travelers.
