Located on the picturesque waterfront that adorns the city of Kiel, the GEOMAR Aquarium is a compact yet highly informative scientific and educational center. It serves as a "window" into the world of major science, showcasing the work of the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences in Germany.
The core of the exhibition consists of inhabitants of the North and Baltic Seas, allowing guests to get acquainted with the local ecosystem. However, there is also space for more exotic species: separate tanks recreate tropical water conditions, striking in their bright colors and diverse life forms.

An interesting feature of the aquarium is its structure: it consists of one spacious room where several large and small tanks are placed. This design creates a cozy atmosphere and allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in studying the depths of the sea without being distracted by complex mazes of corridors.
