Travellers should consider that the weather here is quite predictable in its variability. During the day, the air warms up to a comfortable 19–20°C, while nights bring freshness with temperatures around 11–13°C. Due to the high probability of precipitation throughout most of the year, it is recommended to always carry a light waterproof jacket or umbrella, and dressing in layers will be the best choice for walking around this picturesque region.

During the day, the air usually warms up to a pleasant +18...+20°C, creating ideal conditions for sightseeing, but the nights here are always fresh and brisk. After sunset, the thermometer consistently drops to +11...+13°C, so travellers are recommended to have a warm sweater or light jacket for evening outings.

The nature of precipitation in Loja has its own unique features that distinguish it from many other regions of Ecuador. An interesting pattern is observed here: despite a very large number of rainy days, the total volume of falling moisture remains extremely low. This means that instead of powerful tropical downpours, tourists more often encounter light drizzle, fog, or short-term fine rain, which locals perceive as an integral part of the city's atmosphere.
