Jaigarh Fort, also known as the "Victory Fort", is one of the most significant historical monuments in Jaipur, located atop the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles). This majestic fortress is an impressive testament to the glorious past and military prowess of the Rajput rulers of India. Initially, the fort was built with the primary goal of protecting the lower Amer Fort and housing the royal treasury within its walls.

Built in 1726 by order of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the fort is an exquisite blend of Indo-Persian and Rajput architectural styles. Its massive red sandstone walls, adorned with intricate carvings, and strategically placed watchtowers still make a strong impression today. Inside the fort, palace complexes, an armory, and a picturesque garden have been preserved.
One of the main reasons to visit Jaigarh is the breathtaking panoramic views of Amer Fort and the "Pink City" spreading below. Additionally, it is home to the famous Jaivana—the world's largest cannon on wheels, created in the 18th century. A visit to this fortress allows you not only to touch history but also to fully appreciate the scale and grandeur of Rajasthan's defensive structures.
