Finally, in August 2017, the brewery officially opened its doors to its first guests, instantly becoming a landmark spot for the diving community and beer enthusiasts.

The owners' deep connection to the sea is also reflected in the establishment's ecological philosophy. Punta Sur Brewery actively uses solar panels for power and adheres to sustainability principles. One of its unique features is the inclusion of lionfish on the menu—an invasive species threatening local reefs. By harvesting them individually without nets, the team helps preserve the fragile ecosystem of the island's marine park.
