The Opole Zoo is one of the main gems of Opole, located in a picturesque corner on Bolko Island. This modern zoological garden is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful and cozy in Poland, offering visitors a fascinating journey into the world of wildlife. It is among the top five best zoos in the country and is a wonderful place to relax.
On the spacious territory of about 20 hectares, there are more than 1,000 animals representing approximately 240–250 different species. Here you can find both exotic representatives of fauna from all over the world, such as giraffes, gorillas, and sea lions, as well as local inhabitants. The collection is constantly growing, making every visit unique.
The zoo is characterized by its thoughtful landscape design: its shaded paths and spacious enclosures, which mimic natural habitats as much as possible, create comfortable conditions for both animals and visitors. This place is ideal for leisurely walks, family holidays, and educational tours, allowing you to get closer to the amazing world of nature. For the youngest guests, there is a mini-zoo where some animals can be petted.
