What to Do

The main reason to visit this place is the thrill and energy of basketball matches. The stadium serves as the home court for a well-known team, and watching a game from stands filled with thousands of fans leaves an unforgettable impression. High-quality sound and excellent views from any point in the hall allow you to fully immerse yourself in the action on the court.

If there are no competitions on the day of your visit, you can take advantage of the complex's sports infrastructure. There are fitness rooms, as well as cardio and spinning areas. After an active workout, visitors have access to saunas and regeneration rooms to help relax and recover.

For business travelers and event organizers, the facility offers a modern conference room for 40 people and spacious VIP boxes. Exhibitions, corporate meetings, and musical performances are often held here, so it is worth checking the current schedule before your visit to ensure you don't miss an interesting cultural event.

Getting There

The attraction is located at Lubańska 9a in Zgorzelec, situated right next to the border with Germany. If you are staying in Görlitz, the trip to the arena will take very little time: the distance is about 5 km, which can be covered by taxi or even on foot with a stroll across the Friendship Bridge.

For those who prefer private transport, there is a spacious 500-space parking lot. The venue is easily accessible from the A4 motorway or via local city roads. The nearby Strefa Ruchu fitness center and the district hospital can serve as landmarks for your GPS.

If you are using public transport, choose bus routes that stop near Lubańska Street. Thanks to its convenient location, the arena is easily accessible for tourists traveling on both sides of the German-Polish border.

History & Facts

The history of the PGE Turów Arena began in October 2012, when the first construction work commenced. The official cornerstone-laying ceremony took place in the summer of 2013, and by November 2014, the facility was officially opened to the public. The total cost of this ambitious project was approximately 42 million PLN.

The main driving force behind the construction was the Turów Zgorzelec basketball club, which required a modern venue meeting international tournament standards. Previously, the team played in a more modest hall, but after winning the Polish Championship in the 2013–2014 season, moving to a new arena was a logical step for the club's development and attracting fans.

Between 2014 and 2018, the stadium hosted not only national league matches but also prestigious Euroleague games. Although the main sponsorship status has changed over time, the arena has maintained its importance as a key multi-functional facility in the region, capable of hosting top-level events.

Time Needed

The time you spend here largely depends on the purpose of your visit. If you plan to attend a basketball match or a festive concert, you should set aside about 2–3 hours for the event. It is important to consider the time needed to go through security and find your seat in the stands.

For those dropping by for a workout at the fitness gym or to tour the facilities, 1–2 hours will be sufficient. A full introduction to all areas of the complex, including the conference rooms and relaxation zones, usually takes no more than half a day.

Working Hours

The complex's operating hours depend directly on the current event schedule and the training sessions of sports clubs. On match or concert days, the doors open early for the convenience of spectators. It is recommended to always check event start times on the official social media pages or the venue's website.

If you plan to visit the fitness center or sauna, it is best to call ahead, as access hours to the training rooms may vary depending on the season and the arena's occupancy.
