Many travelers visiting Czechia look for authentic spots, and this venue fully lives up to their expectations. The club's interior is designed in the style of classic Irish pubs with plenty of wood and soft, dimmed lighting, creating a unique atmosphere of comfort. Despite its name, the musical range here is much broader than just jazz, making it a magnet for a very diverse audience.

The venue's special value lies in its ability to combine professional sound with a homey feel. It is a place where you can just as successfully enjoy a romantic dinner as an evening with fellow music lovers, watching performances by artists from around the world in a highly intimate setting.

What to Do

The main reason to visit this establishment is its high-quality live performances. The club's program is impressive for its genre diversity: it features not only traditional jazz but also blues, indie rock, folk, alternative hip-hop, and electronica. Thanks to the unique layout, visitors are in close proximity to the artists, which creates an effect of total immersion in the music.

Beyond the music, the club is famous for its gastronomy. The restaurant's culinary team emphasizes in-house production and the use of fresh, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers. Be sure to try the dishes prepared on-site: they bake their own sourdough bread, make homemade dumplings, and ferment their own vegetables, offering guests honest and high-quality cuisine.

Getting There

Finding Jazz Tibet Club is quite simple, as it is located at Sokolská 48, in the very heart of the historical part of the city. History & Facts

The history of this place began in 1994, when a group of jazz enthusiasts decided to create a unique space in the historical center. They chose a 15th-century building that for centuries had been used for more mundane purposes: it once housed salt warehouses and storage areas for construction materials.

The process of transforming an ancient warehouse into a modern cultural center took about a year and a half. Since its inception, the venue has gone through several stages of updates. A significant renovation was carried out in 2000, and the final remodeling took place in 2011, giving the club its current stylish and cozy look.

Interestingly, the name of the venue is a kind of allusion to the work of Jára Cimrman — a famous and much-loved fictional Czech polymath. This fact adds a special local flavor to the establishment and highlights its connection to Czech culture.

Time Needed

To fully experience the magic of this place, we recommend planning about 2–3 hours for your visit. This will be quite enough to unhurriedly enjoy a high-quality dinner and fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a musical performance without being distracted by the hustle and bustle.

If you're just stopping by for a drink or a quick meeting, you can manage in an hour; however, Jazz Tibet Club is a place that invites long contemplation and relaxation. It is best to come here in the evening, when the intimate lighting and the sounds of instruments create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

Working Hours

The club welcomes guests daily, except for Mondays. From Tuesday to Thursday, the doors are open from 17:00 to 23:00, and the establishment follows the same schedule on Friday. On weekends, the operating hours change slightly: guests are welcome from 16:00 to 23:00 on Saturdays, while the club closes a bit earlier on Sundays — at 21:00.

Since the venue often hosts private events or concerts with limited seating, we strongly advise you to check the current schedule and table availability on the official website before your planned visit.
