Deep beneath the slopes of the hill where the legendary Špilberk Castle stands, lies one of the most mysterious sites preserved in Brno. Bunker 10-Z is a unique historical space, transformed from a top-secret Cold War-era nuclear shelter into a modern cultural center and museum.

This site in Czechia is striking in its authenticity: labyrinths of concrete corridors and massive airtight doors transport visitors back to an era when the world lived in anticipation of a global conflict. The facility was designed to protect the city's elite and was capable of providing complete isolation for five hundred people for several days.
Today, Bunker 10-Z is no longer a forbidden zone. Thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts, an interactive museum and an unusual hostel have opened here. Guests can not only inspect military equipment from the last century but also spend the night in the spartan yet thrilling setting of an underground shelter, making it a must-visit for history buffs and fans of unusual tourism.
