The Church of Saint Maurice is a majestic Catholic temple that is rightfully considered one of the primary architectural landmarks decorating Olomouc. This national cultural monument is a wonderful fusion of eras: its appearance harmoniously combines austere Gothic, elegant Renaissance, and solemn Baroque.

The temple is famous for its two asymmetrical towers and a central spire reaching 100 meters into the sky. Being in a country like Czechia, it is hard to find a clearer example of how architectural tastes and construction technologies have changed over the centuries. Inside, visitors will find a solemn three-aisle hall with Gothic vaults and a unique double spiral staircase.
Special significance is given to the site by the fact that it is one of the oldest parish churches in the region. The church attracts not only pilgrims but also history, music, and art enthusiasts wishing to touch the living heritage of the past.
