The park is a harmonious blend of natural tranquility and modern urban activity. More than 50 species of trees and shrubs grow on its territory, including rare specimens such as the horse chestnut and majestic thujas. Following a major renovation in 2009, the space was transformed into a modern complex with developed infrastructure, rides, and cozy areas for walking.

Thanks to its versatility, the park attracts people of all ages. In the morning, you can meet Nordic walking enthusiasts and mothers with strollers; during the day, school children and families on the playgrounds; and in the evening, the area fills with young people and the glow of illumination. It is a welcoming and soulful place where history is closely intertwined with the modern rhythm of city life.

What to Do

A stroll through the park offers guests many leisure options. Nature lovers can enjoy birdwatching or simply bask in the silence of shady alleys, breathing in the scent of pine needles and rare plants. For those who prefer active recreation, there are sports zones equipped with horizontal and parallel bars, where local athletes can often be seen.

Families with children certainly won't be bored: the park features 10 modern rides, including various trampolines, swings, and carousels. During the warmer months, entertainment shows, educational game programs, and concerts by local groups are regularly held here. In winter, the park does not lose its charm—the city's main New Year tree is installed here, and lively Maslenitsa celebrations are held with pancakes and hot tea.

Special attention should be paid to the cultural events: festivals, fairs, and themed open-air exhibitions that transform the park into a living art venue. The proximity to the Bugulminka River allows for secluded picnic spots, while the evening illumination creates a fairytale atmosphere for romantic dates.

Getting There

The park is located in the very center of the city at 45 Lenina Street, making it easily accessible for any tourist. If you are traveling by public transport, almost any buses or fixed-route taxis passing through the central part of the city to the "Ulitsa Lenina" or "Center" stops will work for you.

For those arriving in the city by train, a walk to the park will be a pleasant start to your introduction to Bugulma: the journey from the railway station on foot will take only 10–15 minutes. History & Facts

The history of this green area began in 1938, when a memorial to the fighters for the revolution was laid on the site of the future park. However, the park owes its current appearance and unique flora to the enthusiasm of a biology and chemistry teacher, Severyan Fedorovich Morozov. In the late 1930s, he personally organized the planting of more than 10,550 trees and shrubs, turning a wasteland into a true dendrological garden.

Morozov managed to acclimatize plants here from various parts of the country: Siberian cedar, Karelian birch, fir, juniper, and even horse chestnut from Kyiv. In the mid-1950s, the territory was expanded, and in 1967, the park officially opened as a children's park, receiving its first play areas and attractions. Over the decades, the park has become a living monument to the labor of the city's residents who helped the seedlings take root.

A new chapter in the park's life began in 2007 with a large-scale reconstruction funded by the "TatNIPIneft" institute. The alleys were updated, 10 modern rides were installed, and contemporary lighting was added. On September 23, 2009, the grand opening of the renovated space took place, which today proudly bears its founder's name—Morozov Park.

Time Needed

For a standard introduction to the park, which includes a leisurely stroll along the main alleys and viewing the rare tree species, you will need about 1-2 hours. This is enough time to enjoy the fresh air and take memorable photos by the central pond.

If you plan to visit the amusement rides, check out the sports ground, or attend one of the cultural events, it is worth budgeting 2 to 4 hours for your visit. On weekends or during city festivals, a rest in the park can easily stretch to half a day, especially if you are traveling with children.

Working Hours

The Culture and Leisure Park is ready to welcome visitors daily, though the operating hours of specific areas may vary. It is important to know that on Mondays, the territory is open 24/7, which is perfect for lovers of quiet night walks.

On other days of the week, from Tuesday to Sunday, the park and its main facilities (including rides) operate from 10:00 to 20:00. During the summer period, as well as during festive events, the working hours may be extended until late in the evening.
