The Dendrarium (Arboretum) is a true "green pearl" located in the heart of the resort city of Sochi. As part of the Sochi National Park in Russia, this botanical garden is considered one of the oldest and most significant in the region. It is spread across the picturesque slopes of Lysaya Gora (Bald Mountain), offering visitors a unique blend of 19th-century architecture and rich subtropical flora.

The 49-hectare grounds house a colossal collection of plants from all over the world. Here, you can see more than 1,800 taxa, including the country's largest collections of palms, oaks, and pines. The Arboretum is divided into two parts by Kurortny Avenue: the Lower Park with its ponds and inhabitants, and the Upper Park, designed on the principle of Italian and French terraced gardens.
The main architectural highlight of the Upper Park is the magnificent Villa "Nadezhda", which today serves as a museum dedicated to the history of Russian ballet. Strolling along the alleys, guests can admire elegant fountains, classical sculptures, and rotundas that give the place a special aristocratic atmosphere.
The modern Arboretum is not just a museum of living nature, but also a popular holiday destination. One of the main attractions for tourists remains the cable car, which takes visitors to the highest point of the park. The panoramic observation deck offers breathtaking views of Sochi's city blocks and the endless expanse of the Black Sea.
