On the square near the magnificent Marine Terminal in Sochi, there is a place that brings a smile to every traveler's face. The Monument to the Heroes of "The Diamond Arm" is a unique sculptural composition dedicated to one of the most beloved comedies filmed in Russia.

Life-sized bronze figures recreate the touching and comical farewell of the Gorbunov family: Semyon Semyonovich, his wife, and children. A little further away, the charismatic smugglers Gesha Kozodoev and Lyolik watch them. Although these characters did not cross paths in this particular scene in the movie, the artistic concept allowed all the film's key heroes to be gathered in one space.
The composition is executed with striking precision—it took about 6 tons of metal to create the figures. The characters' faces are recognizable at first glance, as the sculptors worked from archival photo portraits of the actors. Today, this monument is considered one of the city's most popular attractions, where tourists traditionally rub the characters' noses "for good luck".
